About Us.
Bayanihan para sa Kalinangan or Communal Collaboration for Culture is an advocacy which aims to enjoin able advocates and creative affiliates in collaboration with SneakPick to tap, cultivate and promote:(1) our collective creativity;
(2) our sense of history, values and pride as Filipinos;
(3) the value of sharing, kindness and synergy;
so that the under-privileged are given equal access to experience quality Filipino independent films and stage plays for free.
About our Logo.
What others see as a
simple stage is for us a platform for a world of endless positive
possibilities. Filipino independent films and stage plays have been pliant as a
bamboo. They have been flexible yet strong amidst the changing times brought
about by technology, economics, politics, environment and other global
movements.
It is our hope that thru
this advocacy, everyone’s consciousness, appreciation and being gets raised. This
is depicted in the logo as yellow circles getting larger as it moves upward.
True to our roots, the
Filipino baybayin Ka is used to represent Kalinangan
and the B for Bayanihan represented by the blue and red convex doubling as
the arms and feet as though moving in a synchronized motion…the same fluidity,
unity and harmony that makes bayanihan happen.
