Last year the gross
revenue of the Arts, Entertainment and Recreation industry was posted at Php
51.8B. Eighty (80%) of this is actually attributable to gaming (a.k.a. gambling)
which is considered “recreation”. If we set aside the revenue from mainstream
entertainment, how much are we really spending for arts? Are we foreseeing the
same spending pattern within the next couple of years?
